Highlights
Recently, the regional competition of the third "Inovance Cup" National Intelligent Automation Innovation Competition concluded successfully. A team from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Zhengzhou Shengda University of Economics, Business & Management participated in the competition, focusing on cutting-edge tracks such as industrial automation, AI vision, and digital twins. Combining the practical needs of the intelligent manufacturing industry, they completed project development, on-site defenses, and practical assessments, demonstrating the solid professional foundation and excellent scientific innovation capabilities of the students from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

At the competition venue, each participating team sequentially completed project demonstrations, technical explanations, and Q&A defenses. Facing professional questions from the panel of judges regarding project costs, technology iteration, industry adaptability, and fault-tolerant design, the students from our Faculty responded calmly and logically, thoroughly explaining the project's development ideas, technical highlights, and application value, while efficiently completing on-site equipment operations and working condition simulations. The team's stable performance under pressure, rigorous engineering design thinking, and pragmatic approach to scientific innovation were unanimously recognized by the competition judges and participating teachers and students from other universities.

The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will summarize the experience from this competition, optimize the scientific innovation education system, and continuously promote the deep integration of academic competitions, classroom teaching, and university-enterprise projects. It will encourage more teachers and students to engage in scientific research in the field of intelligent automation, deepen the cultivation of applied talents for intelligent manufacturing, help students refine their professional skills, empower their growth through various high-level scientific innovation competitions, and provide high-quality engineering talents for the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the regional manufacturing industry.
